Geomatica — Agentic Geospatial

AI agents that follow you on the map and work for you along the way.

Your route stays on Geomatica's own server.

Made for delivery drivers, fleet vehicles, and anyone whose work day keeps them on the move.

Jobs

Small agents, triggered by where you are

A job is an agent with a trigger: driving a road, arriving somewhere, passing a business. Some use AI and some need none. Each job has a checkbox, and you switch on only what you want. Four come with every account, and you can add your own.

  1. Heads-ups about landmarks on the road ahead, as a notification on your phone, early enough to decide whether to stop. Say yes and the story is read aloud.

Notifies your phoneReads the story aloud

  2. When you arrive somewhere, it identifies the place and the contact details the place publishes itself. Never a private home, never a guessed email.

    Uses AI

  3. Every business or point of interest within 30 m of your route, once per working day, with how many times you passed it. No AI, and nobody is contacted.

    No AI

  4. For each business you pass, the contact details it publishes itself. Each is researched once, only while the day's spending cap allows, and nobody is contacted.

What a job can do

Triggers

Approaching
A landmark on the road ahead, 8 to 15 minutes out, while you are moving at 30 mph or more.
Arriving
A stop your phone reports, with the time you arrived and the time you left.
Passing
A business or point of interest within 30 m of your route (a shop, café, museum or venue), from OpenStreetMap's listings on Geomatica's own server.

Actions

Notify your phone
A heads-up with the story read aloud when you ask for it. Job 1.
Log
One line per business per working day, with a count of your passes. Job 3.
Research
The contact details a place publishes itself: its website, phone, a general email and a contact page. Jobs 2 and 4; these use AI, within your plan's monthly allowance. Every plan has one, Free included.
Not yet: email Coming
A job can't write to anyone today. It reads what a place publishes, and keeps it for you.

Your own jobs

Add a job on your account page: a name, a plain-English definition, and one of the kinds above. Edit it any time. Deleting a job archives it, with its history kept, and Undo brings it back. A job's kind is fixed once it exists, so its history always means one thing.

Tick a job on your account page or in the app's Jobs tab; a tick on the phone ticks it on every device of your account. A new account starts with the four, all unticked.

The four, in full

  1. Roadside markers

As you drive, it looks ahead along your route for landmarks with substantial Wikipedia articles, and tells you early enough to decide whether to stop. A heads-up comes as a notification when a landmark with a substantial Wikipedia article lies within about a mile of the road ahead, 8 to 15 minutes out, and you are moving at 30 mph or more.

Say yes and the story is read aloud. It is written once from the Wikipedia article, then kept for everyone. Heads-ups are at least three minutes apart and at most four an hour; the same landmark is announced once a week at most; counties, states and towns are skipped.

“Los Alamos, 12 minutes ahead. You're approaching the birthplace of the Manhattan Project. Want the story?”

Spoken aloud, early enough to decide
  2. Look up the places I arrive at

When you arrive somewhere, it identifies the place and finds the contact details it publishes itself: its website, phone, a general email and a contact page. It never researches a private home and never guesses an email. A phone number or email is kept only when it appears on a page the lookup cited.

Every arrival is decided once. One that was too coarse to place, or at a place looked up nearby recently, is skipped and stays skipped. What it finds appears in the app and on your History.

  3. Log the businesses I pass

Every business or point of interest within 30 m of your route, once per working day, with how many times you passed it and how close you came. It uses OpenStreetMap's listings, kept on Geomatica's own server, so no map service ever sees your route. No AI, and nobody is contacted.

Southern California's businesses are already loaded. Elsewhere, the map arrives in 2 km squares, fetched once and kept. Each day's passes are listed in the app and drawn as the job's layer on your History.

  4. Research the businesses I pass

For each business you pass, it finds the contact details the business publishes itself: its website, phone, a general email, a contact page, and a marketing contact it names publicly. Each business is researched once; a call starts only if its estimated worst case fits the day's spending cap. Nobody is contacted. A researched business is marked in Job 3's layer on your History.

History

Every working day, on a map

Your work day records itself: no start button, no stop button. Geomatica keeps every working day, from 8 AM to 8 AM, Pacific time, so a late night stays with the day it began. Where you went, where you stopped, and what your agents did along the way.

What History keeps

Every working day, all your devices together
Each day you recorded is listed, newest first, with its fixes. A driver's phone and the vehicle's own tracker, or one phone paired more than once over the years, show as one history; each device's track is drawn on its own, never joined by a line.
The route, its stops and its numbers
Your track is drawn in teal and split where the phone went quiet for more than ten minutes. Stops are named when a place lookup identified them. Under the map: distance in miles and kilometres, the first and last fix, the fixes drawn, and the top speed.
A replay, with Loop
Play the day back in 8 to 30 seconds, scrub to any moment, or loop it. Each piece of the day is the server's own, so a quiet hour never looks like a ride.
A layer per job, as circles you can tap
Each job's work is a layer on the map in that job's color: a heads-up, a place looked up, a business passed. Tap a circle for what the job found. The legend shows or hides each job's layer, and the replay reveals each circle as the day reaches it.
Five maps, with the weather and the land on top
Streets, USGS Topo, Satellite, Relief, and NOAA's nautical chart. Over any of them: weather radar, current wildfires, public land, and forest roads open to vehicles. They come from OpenFreeMap and United States government services that let any site use them.
Where you spend your time
A heat map over 7, 30 or 90 days, or any range up to a year, for one device or all of them. It counts fixes in squares about 100 m across, scaled so that home doesn't wash out everywhere else; zoom in and it resolves into the squares themselves.
The same History, on your iPhone
History is a tab in Geomatica for iPhone: your days, the route, the stops, the replay with Loop, and each job's layer in its color, with a chip per job to show or hide it. It is the same history as the web's, for all your devices.
Only yours
History shows your account's own devices and nothing else. The route stays on Geomatica's own server; the maps are asked only for the tiles on your screen.

Privacy

What stays private

Your route stays on Geomatica's own server.
Jobs run there, against the route it already holds; the route itself goes nowhere else. Outside services see only what a job needs: a map service, the 2 km square being filled in; and when a job looks up a place you arrive at, OpenStreetMap and the AI that identifies it see that one place.
Homes are never researched.
If you arrive at a private home, the place is not looked up.
Only published contacts are kept.
A phone number or email is kept only when the place publishes it itself. Nothing is guessed.
This page counts its visitors, and nothing more.
It uses Google Analytics, like our other sites. The app, your route and your jobs are never part of it.
